The Backrooms: Mass Extinction is a survival horror game built in Unreal Engine 5 by Mitchell Hepburn. Explore vast and terrifying levels, from the infinite maze of Level 0 to the eerie Poolrooms and the twisted Level Fun. Scavenge for supplies use vending machines to stay alive, and uncover hidden secrets like the Manila Room. Play in desktop mode or VR, and switch seamlessly between the two.
Face horrifying entities like Partygoers, Smilers, and the Hazmat entity—or disable them for a more relaxed experience. Choose your difficulty, find hidden weapons, and decide whether to fight or flee. The game is still in development with new content and updates coming soon. Will you survive the Backrooms, or will you become just another lost soul
