About the POOLS
POOLS feels like walking through an art gallery, but with sounds instead of paintings. There’s not much to solve—just a few mazes here and there. The challenge is more about finding your way around. Most of the time, you’re just exploring.You might also want to download God of War Ragnarok
There aren’t any monsters chasing you or jump scares, but the game feels heavy and unsettling. It taps into fears like being lost the dark and tight spaces.
The game has no menus, dialogue, or background music Instead, it uses sound to pull you in. The echoes and noises change based on the room you’re in. Walking through water slows you down. These little details make everything feel more real and add to the tension.
There’s no traditional story, no characters, and no notes to read.But as you keep going, the world shifts around you. Rooms start to look and feel different. Each chapter offers something new keeping the mystery alive.
POOLS has six chapters, each taking about 10 to 30 minutes to complete.
The game is inspired by the internet’s fascination with “Liminal spaces “Found footage,and “Backrooms” especially the “Poolrooms” concept. Jared Pike, one of the original Poolrooms artists heavily influenced the game along with other creators like Matt Studios Mortain Colors, and Kane Pixels. Anemoiapolis: Chapter 1 by Andrew Quist also played a role in its inspiration.
