About the ABATHOR
“Know, oh prince, that in the days when Atlantis ruled the seas, arrogance and sin unleashed fierce demons. When all hope seemed lost, four heroes emerged to close the Gates of Abathor.” The gods are angry with the Atlantean civilization, sending hordes of monsters to destroy the continent. Heroes will battle ferocious demons, primordial gods, the living and the dead, flying beasts, and crawling horrors. They must dodge dangers avoid traps and explore chilling abysses. Along the way, they’ll compete for loot offering treasures to the gods for their favor.The game features a 2D platformer with action roguelite elements supporting up to four players locally.
Players will battle through over 50 stages with increasing difficulty and incredible final bosses, all while enjoying detailed pixel art and an epic soundtrack with over 40 tracks. As they explore the continent of Atlantis, inspired by Plato’s writings and Athanasius’ map, they will relive the arcade games of the 80s and 90s, with retro 16-bit game features and influences from the metroidvania and beat ‘em up genres.
